"Pseudo-MPEC" for 2011-037ND = NORAD 46736 = TA29DCF = Spektr-R booster

Designation note : for some years, I mistakenly referred to this object as 2011-037B. However, I was directed to an article about the "real" 2011-037B (see bottom of page 2). It notes that

"...circumstances of this mission's launch profile imply that the upper stage, a Fregat-SB, may reside in an elliptical deep space orbit similar to the payload and is apparently uncatalogued."

After I learned that, I referred to this object as 2011-037H, because A-G were taken. Then the "real" 2011-037B disrupted into many fragments, one of which was designated 2011-037H. (I should have picked something like 2011-037ZZZ to make it clear that the designation wasn't official. In fact, I now try to choose unofficial designations that are unlikely to ever collide with official ones.)

Fortunately, in October 2020, this object received the completely official designation 2011-037ND = NORAD 46736. But you'll still see older references on these pages and elsewhere to 2011-037H.

This is the upper stage for 2011-037A = Spektr-R = NORAD 37755. The linked page has information about how the object was identified (orbit was close to that of Spektr-R shortly after launch in 2011). There are also TLEs (Two-Line Elements) available for this and various other artsats listed on these pages, and further details about the history and predicted re-entry of this object over the Indian Ocean on 2021 August 9.
