[guide-user] imagedaxxx.idx files in the Guide root folder

Hi, 
I have an ever growing number of imagedaxxx.idx files in my Guide root folder. It seems to me that, whenever I click on an object (e.g. a galaxy) for which a real sky image exists, a new *.idx file is created in the Guide root folder. However I also have the impression (not sure, because these other files are encrypted) that the same files are also in a subfolder of Guide, i.e. the "images" folder, but in another format, the *.lmp format.
Does anyone know what is going on there ? Is this "doubling" of the files necessary for Guide to work correctly ?
